The Alfen Load Balancing Active configuration module enables dynamic load management for Alfen charging stations, preventing grid overload by intelligently distributing power based on real-time grid conditions. The system requires a data cable connection to the P1 port of the charging station for communication with a smart energy meter.

This configuration is deployed locally via the ACE Service Installer interface or remotely through the Alfen back office. Installation requires the charging station to be positioned within 20 metres of the connected smart meter to ensure reliable data communication and optimal load balancing performance.
